imho, not all watches must have open casebacks, that's just what modern trends call for. manufacturers must know what should be displayed and what does not make any sense to expose through an open caseback. with that said, I see open casebacks as acceptable in dress watches, of high horology...

hey dude, go for the ss option, rubber might be comfortable blah blah, but you need a versatile watch for any outing, environment, occasion, etc... with the rubber variant you will be somewhat limited in options... and think own it like an investment. rubber bands do not really hold value in time
