stainless steel vs rubber band. pls help me decide

I had only one watch with a rubber band... not my type. not my style... the incorrect distribution of the weight annoys me like crazy. the case seemed to me to weigh tens of kg and the bracelet way too lightweight, and the case always falls towards the lower part of the wrist.... I don't like the rubber band specifically because of the discomfort it generates... so I'm not really interested in the aesthetics. .. I still wonder how you have resisted so far with the rubber band... a long time ago you should have switched to the ss bracelet... so, congrads with the right choice, late, but you still did it

are you sure everything is fine with your wrist? it's the first time I hear that a rubber band bothers so much))) I assume you tried the wring watch, so you should try other models.. maybe it wasn't rubber, but a mix between plastic covered with rubber instead... usually pure rubber bands are extremely comfortable

but also I think u came across the wrong type... rubber straps gained popularity precisely because of the comfort they brought to watch lovers. when they appeared, the community understood how uncomfortable ss bracelets really are maybe not that much, but you get the idea)

hey dude, go for the ss option, rubber might be comfortable blah blah, but you need a versatile watch for any outing, environment, occasion, etc... with the rubber variant you will be somewhat limited in options... and think own it like an investment. rubber bands do not really hold value in time

from what I've had before, no rubber, nylon, or cloth bands have held up as well as steel bands. and I'm not just talking about their aesthetics. it's more about the fact that they become somehow gross after some time, especially in summer, I suppose it's from the heat that warms the material and in addition - the sweat on the hand. through the rubber, I have the impression that the wrist does not breathe, especially at high temperatures, and that pisses me off.

so no, no rubber options for me. I can't find any reason that would make me accept a watch with a rubber band now. the ss bracelet- always resistant, good looking, breathable, durable and everything you want. yes, you have to clean it from time to time. but, that doesn't bother me as i like taking care of my watches

stainless steel for me... without much explanation... just much better resistance, wearability, and always fashionable. rubber is just a temporary trend and I don't see anything special in it

you have to take into account your lifestyle. if it's more sports, water, activities - I think rubber will do better. after all, it's a much more practical band. if, on the other hand, you are more casual, then stainless steel is the right way to go....

if you ask only from the perspective of aesthetics and value over time, then ss is a better alternative. SS bracelets never go out of fashion and their value, if it's an authentic watch, it's better.. the rubber option is great for "the now moment " and when you want comfort over look. when you run all day through routine activities, the ss bracelet is not the most comfortable. it's heavy, and somehow the wrist gets tired over the day

is there no possibility to opt for both? it's hard for me to decide because both make sense in certain circumstances.. when I'm not in the mood for anything and just fool around all day, I grab my rubber band... when, I have activities during the day and I'm in the mood to look good, I'll take the ss option. This variation works perfectly for me.. it might work for you too

get a stainless steel guy.... you can always have a rubber band. Stainless steel is timeless and can replace the rubber band at any time. but the rubber band will never replace a stainless steel bracelet

most of my watches also have a rubber band. I like them and use them very often. agree that ss bracelets are irreplaceable. but rubber bands also have their value. I can't imagine my active life without such bands... gym, pool, dog walks - I always put the rubber band watch on and rerady to go

if you have such an opportunity, take them both

no one knows if you have already decided in favor of ss or rubber band, so people keep commenting here...

if my opinion still matters, I would opt for the ss bracelet. I don't like the rubber ones because:
- they have a specific smell after a certain period of time, even if you clean it constantly
- the color changes. especially the white or bright ones, they darken in places and you cannot remove the stains with any solution
- does not miss as solidly as a ss
After cleaning, the ss bracelet looks like new. In the case of the rubber band - it will look the same as before cleaning. Just have a peace of mind that it's clean, but it doesn't look like that

i'm the stainless steel guy.... had a couple of rubber bands, just hate the way they wear.. they cause me distress. i don't like to maintain them, the stains just don't go away no matter how i clean them... definately not my option.... ss braceless are so much easier to maintain. and are always great-looking. so ss please for me!et

start by determining your personal needs... all of those who comment here are doing so out of pure comfort and personal needs, which may not necessarily coincide with yours... if you lead a sporty lifestyle, why not do you have the rubber band version?! it's more practical, even if it doesn't look as solid as the stainless steel version.

the same goes for the reverse scenario: if you are more the office guy, take the ss one. though, I know plenty of IT-specialists wearing rubber bands in their offices..... the point is to figure out what are yr needs... the rest are just personal opinions....

it's a very practical material and easy to use and maintain... like any other accessory, rubbers can differ in quality. but if you choose a good, high quality product, you will be highly satisfied... you won't have to deal with minor scratches, polishing, impacting with different surfaces... it's lightweight and you won't even feel it on your wrist... From the perspective of utility and practicality, rubber band is a great way to go

hard to choose, indeed) the model with rubber band seems more balanced to me than the one in ss, tbh. while i usually opt for ss bracelets, in this case, the rubber looks more harmonious with the case. the model with stainless steel braces is out of context. the bracelet and the case are broken from each other, as if the bracelet does not belong to the case. As for the rubber strap model, the strap goes perfectly with the watch case, the same color and style.

it depends on the season in which you plan to wear this watch more... for example, I wear rubber bands predominantly in summer. ss bracelets are more for the rest of the seasons. so now the question: would u wear a watch with ss bracele tin summer? if yes, go ahead, if no- chose the rubber

rubber bands- my love!!!!!! 90% of all my watches are interchangeable with rubber bands, and that's what i usually wear..... until got the new job so possibly, i'll have to quit them for a while... though, these are the number one choice for me, versatile, comfortable, durable, and great looking

don't really hear from you which one ve chosen but I find stainless steel options more reliable. just they give me more peace of mind and look much nicer than rubber. I'd go for ss I guess
